1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account on Matric Tutoring Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions

• Platform refers to our website and services.
• Student is a user seeking tutoring services.
• Tutor is a user offering tutoring services.
• Users refers to both Students and Tutors.

3. User Accounts & Profiles

• Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• Tutor Profiles: Tutors are responsible for the content of their profiles, including their qualifications, experience, and availability. You warrant that all information provided is truthful and not misleading.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

4. Booking and Payment Terms

• Student Deposit: A Student must make a deposit for the full amount of the session as listed by the Tutor.
• Payment Processing: The Platform holds the deposit securely and releases payment to the Tutor after successful completion of the session.
• Cancellation Policy:
  • Cancellations more than 24 hours before the session: full refund.
  • Cancellations less than 24 hours before: deposit may be forfeited.
  • If a Tutor cancels, the Student receives a full refund.

5. Responsibilities

Tutor Responsibilities:

Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of the Platform. They are responsible for quality of teaching, punctuality, and professional conduct. Tutors are strictly prohibited from contacting students outside the platform or collecting their contact details. Violation will lead to permanent removal from the platform. Refer to the tutor contract for legal implications.

Student Responsibilities:

Students are responsible for choosing a suitable Tutor and attending sessions prepared. The Platform does not guarantee learning outcomes.

6. Platform's Role

We act solely as an intermediary, connecting Students and Tutors. We are not a party to the tutoring agreement and are not liable for user interactions.

7. Cancellations and Disputes

• Users should resolve minor issues directly.
• The Platform may, at its discretion, mediate disputes involving payments or service issues. Our decision is final.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matric Tutoring and Resources shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance.
